    Honestly, the Air Force involvement helped SG1 feel grounded in the best possible way. I take this as a positive sign for the series.

    I hadn’t heard that, but it has the hilarious implication that Stargate Universe doesn’t have a Space Force, despite actually having instantaneous travel to a shit ton of other worlds for decades.

    Iirc if any film wants to use the us military in any way they have to go through them and they have strict rules about what can be shown and what not (aka propaganda) which Includes certain colors that are copyrighted iirc that shows can’t show without the us military involvement
