Fucking… How? They sell simple keyboards for hundreds of dollars… and people actually buy them. How can you possibly not make a profit from that?

And they’ve fallen behind mainly because they haven’t delivered a real innovation since coming up with the MX switch. As soon as the patent expired, their competitors delivered improved products that they had years to come up with but didn’t.
The price difference between Cherry MX and the competitors was huge. Just shows how copyright, in this case at least, failed to breed innovation and they just sat on their patent until it expired. Bad luck for the shareholders!
