Apparently, even evil has standards… and this is a really low bar to step over for Fox. There’s no getting around this. You don’t just execute unarmed sailors that survive a boat wreckage like that.
It is a very low bar but I think Fox as to realize that not only are the optics bad but in the future any US military personnel get captured then they are open game to be shot as well. Bu then again the US did all kinds of heinous shit in other countries for years and nothing was done. The worst that will happen is some low level trooper will take the fall just like at Abu Grad and nothing will happen to the ones giving the command.
Fox news consumers include lots of current & former military. People who will be very familiar with UCMJ they had to take training and pass exams.
