Not for USians, correct?
Not yet, but you can provide your email to express interest at the bottom of the pre-order page.
Sadly not it appears.
Unless you know someone where they are delivering orders that will send it to you.
Relevant bit is what antenna it’s got, not where they’ll ship it. We’ve got goofy spectrum here, varies carrier to carrier too
From the FAQ
Will the Jolla Phone work outside Europe, can I use it e.g. in the U.S.? Will the Jolla Phone work outside Europe, can I use it e.g. in the U.S.?
Yes, we will design the cellular band configuration to enable global travelling as much as possible, including e.g. roaming in the U.S. carrier networks.
Edit: Wrong reply, wanted to add that to the comment about US “goofy bands”

Answered my own question with 2 clicks. You can track the amount of pre-orders here. (2000 needed for them to even make this phone) https://commerce.jolla.com/products/jolla-phone-preorder
…and they are at 1521 (76%) now.
and now 80%. that’s going pretty fast
They have reached their goal and it is currently 2121 phones pre-ordered. I assume the pre-order remains open until 4th of January for batch 1. https://commerce.jolla.com/products/jolla-phone-preorder
Is there a subscription fee for sailfish OS involved?
On the website they say it is voluntary.
We have opened the Sailfish OS voluntary subscription as a way for anyone interested to support Sailfish OS development and the activities around it. Your support directly contributes to the long-term viability and existence of this unique European project. Together we can keep the platform open, independent and continuously improving.
Can you still update your firmware even if you’re not subscribed? I was under the impression updates were restricted to subscriptions, but found nothing of the sort mentioned in their site.
updates were restricted to subscriptions
They are not.
How does it compare with the Farphone 6 running e/OS?
E os has a backdoor for gov intelligence.
Source?
Ignore the Musk employee.
I remember reading about it in one of the graphene os vs france articles. That they mostlikely complied with frances backdoor order, since they are not affected in the same way.
How about my old Nokia 7.2 with lineage OS?
Isnt that just degoogled android with a skin?
Anyone know if the bootloaders unlocked? Couldn’t find anything on the Jolla site.
Also, I’m curious about the below. If the switch is configurable, doesn’t that mean its ultimately triggering a software function? If so then what’s the point of it being physical?
…the new Jolla Phone promises a user-configurable physical Privacy Switch that lets you turn off the microphone, Bluetooth, Android apps, or whatever you wish.
Definitely unlocked.
You can even buy a couple of sony xperia devices and install Jollas Sailfish os on if you don’t want to wait for this one
Jolla is unlocked.
