Man, this makes me wish I could get EWW to compile on Debian. No idea what the hangup was, but I just remember being unable to get it to run.

Yes, it should lack a lot of dependencies on Debian :(

For eww you need few packages https://elkowar.github.io/eww/eww.html#prerequisites

And of course rust, cargo, etc…

Yeah I ended up giving up. I might try it again if I ever switch back to Fedora, but that’s probably not going to happen for a while.

it’s just simple and fast. handles images really well also. I’ve tried pretty much every terminal out there and I always end up back on Foot. works really well also if you use it with tmux. Wezterm is good too but it’s got a lot going on with it and can be a bit slow. The only other terminal I really like is Konsole.

You tried kitty? Ive used all terminals and I always come back to kitty. Its just so fast and reliable. But yeah, no image support i think.

Well foot is minimalist and really fast but It just lack a super important thing: ‘Color reloading’ when configuration change.

So maybe i will use kitty on the next theme, sacrifice a bit of ‘fast’, we’ll see.

I tried WezTerm but it’s slow and contain too munch useless features.
