This is such a great song, but unfortunately the most well known version was recorded by a total pizza shit. I agree sometimes you can separate the music from the artist, and still enjoy the art of a shitty person, but in this case, the guy is so shitty it makes it impossible for me to actually enjoy listening to him sing a really amazing song.

However, even though it’s was recorded and made popular by David Allen Pizzashit, it was actually written by Steve Goodman and John Prine.
