Bitcoin's plunge has made it far less economical to mine the digital token. Some companies are starting to unplug their equipment.

      Of course it is. Something like 2/3 of all BTC are held by a handful of people/companies.

        Another fun-but-useless fact I like to remind myself of re: crypto is that, back in its early days (`12?), an old friend gave me a birthday gift of thumbdrive w/ BTC = my birth date (double digit) …and I have absolutely no idea where it is.

        When I was fully cashing TFO (before one of the crashes, ironically), I may’ve spent waaaay too long trying to find that >$200k memstick. 🥴😂🤷🏼‍♂️
