    Creating a heirarchy of militant nations with Germany explicitly at the top seems both historically unwise and politically unsound.

    Beyond optics, rhetoric, and the very specific sins of Germany, it’s just making the same mistake that led to American nationalists taking their dicks out and telling people to start sucking or they don’t get protection from the scary Russians.

      Creating a heirarchy of militant nations with the USA explicitly at the top seems both historically unwise and politically unsound too. The orange isn‘t too fond of NATO anyway. It‘s on brand to just give the scepter to the next biggest economy of the alliance.
