I honestly don’t get why people don’t mention more Mulvad VPN, most VPN tierlist barely include it. It’s 5€ 5 devices, the account it’s just a number, no email no password, pay with cash, credit card or crypto and most importantly no logging

Yeah, a lot of those ranking sites are actually owned by some of the more shady VPN providers. I know I’ve seen a diagram somewhere of the connections between some of these companies, but I can’t remember where off the top of my head.

Techlore, The New Oil, privacy guides, and privacytools have mullvad on there iirc. If you search up “best vpns” you’ll get AI generated articles and paid sponsorship and referral websites for nord vpn

Is this actually targeted at the UK?

It’s a super American ad. Everyone sounds American, we don’t really have drive thru’s like this etc.

In terms of message it’s spot on for both the UK and US though. Especially prescient given the Flock stuff going on in the US right now.

EDIT: From the article, it sounds like this has been used in a few places, but the UK is the only one that has banned it. The reasoning behind the ban is laughable.

It looks like there’s a longer version available on the site, but it’s broken for me.

I guess the UK authorities think they’re impervious to the Streisand effect.

This would have been hilariously ironic, especially given the name of the ad campaign, if it wasn’t so grim.
