Might just be me but I feel if something has been requested for 5 years it might be time to look into it. I love home assistant and I am in no way a programmer. (then I’d just do it myself for the community). The ability to connect and use voice asistant with the Android TV os would be great though.

In the same 5 years, you could’ve easily learned how to program, and do it yourself. As a software engineer, I’d say most people can learn to code fairly quickly, so it’d be more like 5 weeks, if that…

I saw the comment before you deleted it… Yes, I actually have done my own plumbing when diy finishing my basement. I watched a lot of YouTube vids, and read some articles, and asked questions in diy forums. Not saying it’s easy, just saying that it’s doable if it’s really as important as you insinuate. I’ll never be as good a plumber as you, but I learned enough to fit my specific needs
