Speedrunning a permaban on my 15 year old account. How many days do you think it will take?
Banning accounts from just upvoting is insane.
They ban u for upvoting? Not even commenting, but literally just upvoting?
That’s why I finally pulled the plug on my 14 year old account. That Orwellian bullshit is a deal breaker.
My 12 year old account got permanently suspended after an alt got a ban from r/entertainment for disagreeing with someone. Neither of us warranted a ban. Since I couldn’t block the sub from the news feed I accidentally commented again in the sub with my banned account not realizing the sub I was in. Then I commented with my main and got permanently banned. I appealed but didn’t get a response. This all happened over the course of a month or so and left an awful taste in my mouth.
Same here, my 3 year old account got permabanned since my new alt got banned from r/shitpost and I couldn’t filter it out so I accidentally commented on my main and, well here I am…
I don’t know if you saw this article, but it’s a fascinating and infuriating read, it’s about all of the Luigi censorship and the upvote policing. It’s scary as hell. Check it out
I recommend u guys try Lemmy. I feel like Reddit is reaching its EOL
How do i join lemmy
I’ve never heard of this platform! Where can I sign up?
It doesn’t really exist mate, it’s a joke post
reddit reached enshitification several years ago.
2017 was more than several years ago
I would say that’s about several years ago.
😡
#FreeLuigi
If they can pardon the January 6th hostages…
Remember, Jury Nullification!

Fucking cowards sending out the messages from an account that you can’t even reply to? Are they also sending out these messages to people upvoting /r/Conservative content? What about/r/Conspiracy?

Not even really cowardice when you consider how bare bones their staff is. Even if they gave a shit about users, real monetization costs money and Reddit hates spending.
Please let them implode.
I want Lemmy to have niche content. I’m tired of being a bitter asshole about politics and news on here. I want to gleefully distract myself while my country burns, not be ultra depressed about it because its constantly in my face.
yeah i always like the beginning of a new platform in the first few years where everyone is just having fun before the hoards come and commercialization happens.
I don’t know how likely commercialization is on a platform developed by communists. Seems kind of unlikely.
i wasn’t specifically talking about lemmy when i said the commercialization part.
Real big fan of being able to recognize people here.
You can get that in a sub-community.
Please read the rules again so that you don’t break them.
I tattooed their rules to my chest and I still got warned.
hey so i started looking at a new place because I’m tired of reddit and the people on it… My upvotes began just disappearing. I hate to be that person, but I think I was shadowbanned. I didn’t even know that was a real thing until reddit. When the little reddit guy’s back is turned on your icon you’re in some kind of restricted mode. Anyway, i noticed my upvotes weren’t showing and someone else kinda fiddled with it with me to see what was going on. I don’t know if this is related to luigi but it’s some weird nonsense.
You sir or ma’am were shadowbanned. They want your views, not your voice. Basically you are ad revenue to them, if they ban you they lose that sweet juicy $.02 from their advertiser. They want two cents from their advertiser, just not from you.
exactly. i always thought shadowbanning was a thing people just said when mad until i noticed that on reddit.

They’re scared. Spez knows his neck is on the line in a more literal fashion than ever.

Just like lemmy
Man isn’t even convicted yet and his name is taboo.
The rich are scared. Good. They should be.
His name isn’t taboo, it’s just the asslicker self-chosen slaves of the rich that want to silence it.
That’s exactly what we need to take from this. Not that money is in control and that’s why they’re cracking down, but that they’re cracking down because they’re scared.
Reddit is more okay with people where we have indisputable video of them killing someone else in cold blood than someone who police just say trust us bro he did it.
Amazing how the admins react to things
Talk about the thought police! I saw it coming for awhile, but past me from a decade ago is shocked that Reddit has come to this.
Whatever their goal is, one result is apparent: less voicing of opposite views to the status quo on their website.
Less voicing of views, period. Reddit doesn’t want user interaction. Only views. The bots generate the content while the users are there to generate ad revenue.
