Viral posts and clips on social media suggest the em dash is the product of AI chatbots, with some calling the punctuation mark a 'ChatGPT hyphen.'

    I often type double dashes – they collapse into an em-dash.

    I only really use them when two dashes autocomplete as an Em dash

    I use em dashes quite often—I find them useful. Also, I have severe ADHD—which may be the reason why…
