Event of the decade in Worcestershire. If they had anything else to do they’d be doing that.

People can be good and they can be bad. The standard is neither.

“It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people”

Still interesting to think about what makes a person turn either way. Are some babies born evil? Maybe if their brain lack empathy for example. But most are probably born good.

Then they grow up in this shitty world, their brain gets programmed with how to be, how to look, what success is, what happiness is…basically society values that serve to sell more things.

Some turn evil because they dont think there is any point in being good.

all babies are born evil, hence the screaming and crying and horrid poo and projectile vomiting

the process of growing up is the process of repenting for your sins, you can tell how evil you were as a baby by how much acne you had in your teens.

I, too, am from an area like that. At some point Jesus people have some dignity. Reading that, 2.5 hours, at minimum wage that’s just over $18. In that time you could have worked and just ordered a pizza.

So I guess if you are really at federal minimum wage that price would be worth the wait. If you make above minimum wage congrats, you devalued yourself, you would have done better just paying for the pizza.

I think the same about people who wait half an hour in the Costco gas lines to buy gas for slightly less. How much are you saving vs the value of your time sitting there? Time is the most precious thing we have on this planet and people will sit waiting for a few cents off gas or hours on already cheap pizza.

So, if it’s already pissing down out there, is the local sentiment some version of “Well, it can’t get much worse’ter, cannet?”, then?
