I don’t think either the US or Israel have the industrial capacity to run a protracted conflict for the next 20 years.

@yogthos man i would love to see the US finally just say enough is enough and abandon bibi like we have so many allies before
the idea of pissing away billions more dollars on preserving the israeli fairytale is… repellent to me

Israel has stated that if Iran doesn’t stop defending itself, Tehran will burn. Is that what they meant? Iran’s nuclear-armed allies need to offer a nuclear umbrella to ensure this stays a fair fight. If they do, Israel’s reign of terror is over. If they don’t, this world is about to get fucking terrifying.

    ah, shit

I think “defense” minister Israel Katz is the one who said Tehran will burn. Regardless, I can’t see this as anything other than Israel promising they’ll commit a second genocide. Fully backed by the USA, of course.

Obviously I’m not saying I want Israli civilians killed. I don’t want that any more than I want Iranians and Palestinians killed.

That said, I’m finding it really hard to feel any sympathy for them.

Because Iran is getting baited into a war, one that they possibly can’t win, meanwhile attention is getting shifted away from Gaza. If this does turn into a full blown war it and Iran really does have the capability to stop oil production in the Middle East we are heading for a major economic crisis all around the world and possibly more escalation. Not to mention Isreal seems to be doing a lot more damage to Iran than Iran is doing to Isreal. Either way the situation is bad for every one.
