That’s like an Amish politician having his main platform be he’s anti computer.
Japan is not known for having any/many immigrants, as it is. Expats generally avoid it for high cost of living.
I was an expat living in Japan during the pandemic. I actually think they have great cost of living. My apartment in Osaka was like $575/month for a very modern place. Food is more expensive in the states but you really don’t need a car.

If these people get elected watch Japan’s demographic crisis greatly worsen.
