I used to own a boarding kennel. We had several clients over the years who would condition place their plush toys face first in their food dish as if the toy was eating. I have have long supposedthat those dogs were pretending their toy was eating.
The article says, “applicants will be expected to commit five hours per day, five days per week to hands-on feline care.” To me that means if you want to spend more time with them than you can. I imagine you could do as many hours per day and days per week that you want to. You are correct though that having to spend eight hours sleeping without kitty cuddles could be a negative.
According to the article, you’re only required to work with the cats for 5 hours per day. As for food, they provide breakfast as well as housing. Assuming you sleep 8 hours per day, that’s 11 hours per day to yourself. Frankly, I think this would be an amazing way to spend a summer month or two.
