help-circle

  • This happened to my wife when our youngest son was born. We get to the hospital intake counter and my wife drops to the floor. The baby’s coming, now. The hospital, doctor, and stem cell recovery nurse were all well informed for the last 24 hours. This sassy fat fuck slowly goes through every pice of intake paper, stapling collating, gathering signatures, HSA card, insurance liability. My wife is screaming on the floor.

By the time we finally got in the birthing tower, the nurse went to go get the epidural (as previously planned) while another nurse checked dilation and blurted out “no time” and started unlocking the bed wheels. While hauling ass, one of the nurses had to put a drip line in her wrist with a coagulant to help stop any bleeding… well in all the chaos, they only hit bone. Seconds later (literally) I was holding my baby and there was so so so much blood. This is my third time helping with the birth so I immediately knew something was wrong.

My wife lost so much blood so quickly she coded multiple times and the doctors and nurses (and one terrified stem cell tech) couldn’t do anything but stop the bleeding and wait for new blood to arrive, which took almost an hour.

That piece of shit at the front desk went slower and slower on purpose as I got more and more scared about my wife’s condition. We filed a lawsuit and administration had to watch the security footage with dropped jaws all around the table. No questions asked settlement and apology. My wife would recover but not without physical and mental scarring.

I know time dilates during traumatic events but in this case a few minutes would have meant the world to my wife.
