I’m feeling very burnt out. Lemmy is kinda an endless stream of political doom and gloom. For context, I’m in the US and already stressed out by our political situation. But I don’t come here to see more doom and gloom. It’s getting to the point where I think I need to get off for my mental health.

Then there are all the people who if you don’t agree exactly with their opinion they downvote you to hell. You have left leaning politics but not my flavor of left? Downvote! You hate enshitification and big tech privacy practices, but you use a single piece of software that isn’t FOSS? Downvote!

It’s so exhausting. I absolutely hate Reddit but I miss going on there and just laughing at how someone’s TV is too high. I miss laughing at how some restaurant serves food of shovels instead of plates.

And that’s not even getting into the lack of content. That part I understand requires users like myself to be as active as possible. But it’s hard being active when I feel so burnt out from the other stuff here.

Tbh, idk if these issues are specific to Lemmy or just the internet as a whole. I can only speak to the slice of the internet I find myself in. But I just wanna see people that are excited about things: photography, 3d printing, weird keyboards, etc. And that exists here, but it’s drowned out by all the doom and gloom.

Blorp dev here. I know on iOS, you can increase text size by changing the OS text scaling. I haven’t tested this on Android or web. Might need a way to manually override it. Any specific examples in the app where the text is too small? Any examples where you’re ok with the text size, for reference?

Idk if this counts, but when I was messing around with hosting a server, via version and bungeecord blew my mind. I proceeded to create the most over engineered sever to host games with 3 people lol.

Love it and hate it. Love it when I’m winning bedwars, hate it when I’m losing. Usually play 3v3v3v3, and I win frequently enough that I’m still hooked. Occasionally play doubles to mix it up.

Few things disrupt developer flow more than waiting on a dev server.

Hi! I’m the dev that built Blorp (the link shared above). I desperately need to add better share options, but I am curious how that link is appearing broken to you. Does it say “not found”? Looks like that post doesn’t federate with .world, which Blorp sometimes defaults to (we randomize default instance for fairness).

If my assessment is correct, I’ve been meaning to add a better error message “this post doesn’t exist on .world, but if you switch to beehaw.org you can view it”.

Great catch! While I have you, do you think it would make sense for the “Inbox” bell notification symbol to be a different color when there are reports? Basically pink would mean non urgent notification, and maybe yellow means you have an unread report?

I’m not a very active mod myself, so I’m looking for feedback from people who need to moderate a lot of posts/comments. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

No problem! Forgot to mention, PieFed doesn’t seem to support moderation through the API yet, but they should be adding that soon. For now this is Lemmy only, sorry :(

Looks like they do have a toggle for AI generated. I can add a checkbox for that when creating posts via Blorp. I can find some bot posts, and I should be able to create some AI tagged posts for testing. Thanks!

Blorp dev here. Could you do me a favor and link some example AI posts and I’ll see if I can add a filter for them. I also want to add a toggle to filter out bot posts. I’ll do those at the same time.
