uBO in Medium Mode FTW. Much lighter than default uBO. The first couple of weeks is hard until you create the rules to unbreak websites, but it’s worth it.

Hi, thanks for your work. I came to report a bug in old.lemmy.zip, but I’m worried after reading this:

also a prewarning, the old front end is no longer maintained, and unless someone steps in, it is not compatible with the next version of Lemmy. Therefore at that point it will be retired unless someone works on it to bring it back in line

The bug, that started a few days ago, is that it’s not filtering out blocked communities, all the main feeds are including posts from the popular communities I blocked.

It only affects the old frontend, main lemmy.zip is fine.

In my first two years of Linux, I struggled between using Notepad++ through Wine and trying the many different editors out there (including the three you mentioned, with Kate being the one I tried the most to be the chosen one), never feeling fully satisfied. Until I found a little-known one that I would use today even in a Windows machine where Np++ is a native option: CudaText.

Just like Np++, you can get extra useful features by installing plugins. And you should dig into available settings to adjust to your taste.

In the end, CudaText is a more advanced editor than Np++, while it still feels welcoming for editing non-code text, unlike VSCode or Sublime imo.
