Lets say you have 2 computers, one uses qwerty layout and the other one dvorak: can you quickly switch between the two without getting used to one or the other?
My brain hurts just trying to switch from normal to ortholinear
Immediately.
Why would I want to? Why not switch the other computer to dvorak?
Maybe since you can not install an exotic keyboard layout on some different pc, since it is forbidden to install software there?
If your daily driving two wildly different layouts you will get used to it and it won’t be any inconvenience.
But, if you rarely switch, then the transition will trip you up.
Pretty frequently, but I hear this is uncommon.
Usually for anything text heavy I’ll use Dvorak. So chat or document writing.
For programming I’ll use qwerty.
On my Linux workstation I use qwerty since Linux keyboard layout isn’t window specific. But on my OSX and Windows I commonly switch between them.
