I said it in the last thread and I’ll say it again here: I do not give a single flying fuck about any political motivation behind the changing nor changing back of the Cracker Barrel logo, either real or simply perceived, but their new logo was objectively terrible. It was so bland and unmemorable that whoever designed it should have their Macbook confiscated and be catapulted into the ocean. That is, the both of them. But preferably one each into different oceans. I don’t know how much that braindead rebrand cost them in consultancy fees but I hope they can ask for a refund.

      bland and unmemorable

This is why it was great. It perfectly encapsulated both their food and store. It was an ideal logo for them.

I wish these people cared as much about the president being a pedophile as they do about this mid-ass restaurant changing its logo.

If it encourages them to eat there, is it really such a bad thing, I mean t a diet heavy in the types of food Cracker Barrel sells can’t be good for you and republicans hate healthcare. Seems like it might be a self-solving problem.

They need these distractions, otherwise they start to actually think. Their leaders can’t have that happening.

Was this just conservatives? I never saw anyone say anything positive about the changes. Potential problems with some decor they might have, I don’t think that reasonably translates to completely scrub it of all personality anyway.

It’s perhaps universally hated but for some an unfathomable reason, a very common sentiment among conservatives is that the new logo is too damn woke.

You could almost wrap it around to how corporations fuck everything up but that would be too much for their little brains

I thought it was dumb, too, but I definitely wasn’t upset by it. Conservatives were, for some reason.

it’s been a spell since I’ve been to the US but the only thing I remember about Cracker Barrel is the triangle/golf tee game they had at the tables. The food? I don’t remember anything about the food or what I even ate. but that game? I was all over it.

I actually preferred Bob Evans breakfasts. I remember as a kid whenever my family visited the states I would insist we go to Bob Evans for breakfast.

Step 1: Get a terrible rebranding done

Step 2: Wag the dog with fake/paid outrage

Step 3: Reverse the decision letting people think they’ve won

    Step 4: Profit

It’s New Coke all over again.
