Thinking maybe I should have gone with a little softer white.

Maybe softer if it’s the only light source in the room but if your overhead light is any kind of “warm” the white light will look good and help the clock stand out.
Sitting here like a right asshole with new style, partially kraeusened and unnaturally carbonated beer. I gotta do better.
