What do you think about the UX of keeping all the comments between two people in a single column - not reducing it from the left each time. And if a third person comments, it goes into this other type of view like we have now?

I think this would result in cases where it is unclear which comment is the parent.
Just add horizontal scroll.
I suppose the follow-up question is: If the data isn’t cut off, where should it be displayed?
To me, it seems like it ought to wrap to a second line.
That probably makes sense.
Yeah, I wouldn’t mind long lines in titles of comments and posts to just wrap. The information is more important than any idea of “pretty design”.
