I disagree. Magisk/Supersu, that come with rooting, ask you about malware wanting higher privileges, while without it you don’t notice it. The benefits outweigh the risk in real-world use, imo.
And they didn’t ask for your opinion on root but for a pre-rooted solutions. Sadly, there’s none. But Magisk makes it easy.
About the Graphene shills; they didn’t ask for the most secure solution either but a private one that doesn’t track you. Just get whatever is listed on the Lineage supported devices page or at least has a unofficial port. Or wait until February and use Calyx.
