You are right, I have no idea where he’s sitting. He could be in his mom’s attic, or maybe even the guest bedroom. I don’t know his contributions, but I do know that he’s just roleplaying a revolutionary, because he hasn’t named one building that he’s burnt down. Hell, I’ll take a billboard or something

If you don’t know his contributions then your assertion that he’s “roleplaying” is a baseless accusation, one that you’re making specifically and exclusively to delegitimize his entirely valid criticism. Also burning a billboard down would do jack shit to disempower the current government or aid in organizing resistance, and admitting to such an action online or anywhere else would obviously be terrible opsec, you’re either an incurable moron or a fucking fed.

Big King Shit of Toilet Town telling me I’m nobody here lmfao

Do a revolution, don’t do a revolution, I don’t care at this point. No amount of ban hammering is going to change the fact that online arguments against other people on the left are entirely politically ineffectual. You can internalize that statement and decide to make some change in the real world, or you can keep grasping at what little facsimile of authority you can in tiny little online communities that you make yourself. But you’re not even a mod here; we’re equals in this community. If you don’t like me speaking truth to your non-power, then block me already.

And if I’m wrong, and you are actually organizing in your community, and you do actually use your votes strategically, good. Ignore me. I’m some random on the internet, I should not be able to get under your skin this easily

ETA: What bugs me the most about this argument is that we agree on more than we don’t. This just comes down to anti-electoralism. It’s fine to be anti-electoralist, but if you limit your political efforts to just arguing with other leftists online, you’re doing nothing. I’m not going to vote third party in '28 unless there’s a damn good chance they beat Trump. If it’s a repeat of the last 24 elections, then it’s a race between The Party That Wants Smallpox Back and The Party That Doesn’t Want Smallpox Back, and allowing the former to win just because you don’t like all of the policies of the latter is a fantastic way to die of fucking smallpox.

Maybe you should spend less time in your little secret clubhouse making fun of other leftists, and start actually making political progress. Like, Mamdani isn’t gonna win NYC by having a bunch of fans secretly get together and make fun of everyone who votes for him

Although it would actually make my day if you told me that Mamdani is just as bad as Adams or Cuomo
