Bungie’s Destiny 2 has been made unplayable in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. The reason behind the surprise region banning has not been confirmed, but it’s assumed that the studio is no longer allowed to service those countries. Microsoft is raising the price of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription again and rebranding some of its Xbox Game Pass plans. Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate will be priced at $29.99 per month instead of $19.99 — a 50 percent increase. Nintendo has officially ended repair support for the New Nintendo 2DS XL. It is the last of the 3DS models to receive repair support. Nintendo already closed the eShops for both the 3 DS and the Wii U back in March 2023. Around 1,000 digital-only eShop games disappeared for good last year. 🖋️🤖

Update [ ]: PS5’s new firmware update, officially codenamed 25.06-12.00.00, is rolling out now. Original Story: Sony has announced the PS5 firmware update containing DualSense controller pairing it’s been testing for the past few months will leave the beta phase and be available to everyone in a system patch tomorrow. It sounds like you’ll need to push the PS5 patch through manually rather than it being an automatic download, as Sony details how to get the new firmware in the Settings menu. In addition, the update will contain the Power Saver mode, which scales back performance in exchange for reduced power consumption. While not confirmed, it’s rumoured this mode is being implemented now to work with the PS6 handheld device. 🖊️️🤖

A new version of the DualSense controller is set to be released soon, according to a new report. Polish site PPE.pl says Sony is working on a revised version of the PlayStation 5 Pro along with a revised DualSense controller. According to the source, the new DualSense controller, known internally as the DualSense V3, will launch in November and will feature a removable battery. The report says the revised DualSense will be released in November, and will replace the DualSense controllers currently on sale at retailers. The most recent example of this is the newly revised PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console, which will now feature 825GB of storage space instead of 1TB. 🖊️️🤖
