Thinking of Repairable, Potentially Upgradable and Customizable Laptops that can run Linux Easily, or Laptops that atleast show one of these Traits!
Tuxedo is nice, but as somebody mentioned already, its products are re-branded and re-you-name-it chinese products. Same for CSL. They’re ‘assembled in Germany’ with stuff that’s made in China.
Not much different than Tuxedo on the rebrands, but there’s also Slimbook from Spain
Not sure if the UK counts as European made… but unfortunately, I can’t recommend Star Labs…

Nice, but they could do with some ergonomic curves… looks like that would actually hurt your legs.

EU-made? Not much. Most ‘EU-brands’ I can think of (tuxedo laptops sells them with Linux prinstalled) are mostly some kind of rebranding of the same (Chinese) models.
Another solution, depending what you want to use it for, could be to pick a used laptop.
Older ones will still run Linux great and some of those older models are highly regarded for their repairability. See professional lines like older Thinkpad (not all of them) or the HP Elitebook laptops (I was a happy Thinkpad user but I switched to an Elitebook because I managed to get one for a real good price with a better screen than my thinkpad and depending the model, they both are easy to maintain) and maybe Dell too (I never used a Dell laptop, so I could not tell)

There are always off-lease laptops that can be looked into. Most large companies lease their laptops for 2-5 years. When the company is done the leasing company has a big sale.
Well what is the best place to find and buy those? Just the usual “refurbished tech” stores and websites?
Indeed. Used corporate laptops is how I got that HP I mentioned, at such a low price.
I received an off-lease IPS monitor yesterday for cheap. Forgot to order the correct display port cable😭
Some Tuxedos are made by Clevo, Taiwan (possibly in China, as Taiwanese companies often do).
