I would say it is more complicated than that. They show the whole set of characters as trying to do their best to be nice and good, which does give a wrong idea of what cops are. But they do try to address some problems as well, so it’s not so clearly one or the other.
Yeah, the cops on that show are better than regular cops… they address those things… and that might make you think that some of those that work forces - are just like your good little parasocial friends on the show!
