And I’m currently working on a brass butterfly with a carnelian body! Just started it last night
Next step is cutting out the holes in the wings, then a HOLE lot of filing to smooth and round the edges. After that, gonna have to figure out how to mount a stone with prongs, because the stone is too tall for a bezel
Such a nice workshop! I want to make some glass jewelry pieces but i need to find an alternative to the lead solder that I use for stained glass, that works with copper foil. That’s why I was curious. So thanks for answering! And good luck with your projects!

I use an acetylene torch and mostly use brass solder! Workshop pic (it’s a friend’s setup)

You can get silver solders that melt at different temperatures! It makes it easy to solder multiple times on the same piece
