Regardless of whether it’s a good idea or not, it’s another distraction. Smith is throwing as many minor, irritating issues up (license plates, anyone?) to keep people from focusing on her government’s criminal activities.
Also, in classic UCP fashion, she says the government will carry out a survey to gauge public sentiment and the implement a trial, regardless of the survey outcome.

Which is doubly useless because, as stated in the article, people drive that fast anyway. It’s almost as if this is a pr stunt… 🤔
If people are driving at 120 when it’s 110, that’ll just give them permission to drive at 130 if it’s 120.
