For more than two decades, Sergey Lavrov has been Russia's top foreign diplomat, representing the Kremlin's regime around the world, but late last month, he disappeared.
Since then, we have not really heard from him. The Russian state-owned news agency, Ria Novosti, published an interview with him last Sunday.
However, the photo of the foreign minister that accompanied it was taken about a year ago.
TASS, another state news agency, published a story featuring quotes from Mr Lavrov on Wednesday. However, the outlet noted the interview had actually been conducted with an Italian newspaper at an undisclosed date.
