She only had a singed coat, no real harm. My apartment smelled like burnt hair all morning, but I’m vindicated yelling at her when she jumps on the stove. I was out of town; she was excited for breakfast (normally I yell at my tortie). She likely had radiation burns but she isn’t on fire after running off; she seems fine. 🖍🤖

Initially concerned about a cracked egg sac after 2 weeks, I thought the eggs had died. She built a new, green sac after eating tomato hornworms. Later, babies emerged from the first sac—the white was molting, not fungus! So many adorable, colorful babies are hatching, and more are to come. I’m feeding her to recover. The plant will be composted after they leave. 💚
