Gamble? The chance of the problem fixing itself is 0. Maybe making even more money that doesn’t get spent in anything will help?

Yeah, people continue to not get how dire this is. Its not “destabilizing for society”, it is unsurvivable, existential, total collapse territory.

What’s the human carrying capacity of earth 8 degrees hotter? Its not like moving from a cold country to a hot country today…its complete disaster. Agriculture will be impossible.

No but there’s alot that can be done between here and there easily

Ban all flying witin 12 months, start with private jets being baned from next week, ban all advertising (emcourges nedless consumption), phase out private car ownership in 10 years by reducing car use every year, no more road building only cycle wats and e-train, ban meat eating pet ownership, ban cruise ships, pleasure craft and off road vehicles, insulate existing homes and ban the building of giant fucking homes with balck rooves ina desert with gaint HVAC stuck on the.side, , ban pools at home and and on and on

Take a look at the links I shared above. You might find them interesting.

Edit: @dumnezero to answer your question, the key words would be phasing out fossil fuels, and this could not take place in a week. So the answer is no.

It will be unfortunate that so many people exploited by the rich nations will have to bear the brunt of what’s coming, but my only solace is that it might end a good part of humanity. If we’re lucky, it will end humanity for a long time too. We don’t deserve this planet.
