The prices are indeed very reasonable. I just wander why they cap the PeerTube ones at 10GB which is not enough even for a small single user instance.

I’m hosting PieFed, Mastodon, PeerTube, a couple of small websites and some other services like a RSS reader, matrix, forgejo and uptime kuma on a Hetzner VPS and I’m paying 36 EUr for the server and 6 EUR for a S3 bucket where I store all the PeerTube videos. But I have to deal with all the updates myself which sometimes feels like a chore, especially when something doesn’t work, which to be fair happens very seldom.

Yeah, I’m guessing they don’t want to open up support for S3 buckets as part of their service (maybe they’ve been burned in the past). But that definitely limits media heavy applications like Peertube.

Every time I see these I think I should start selling services like this, and then I remember the last half of your comment.

FediHost handles storage differently to most managed hosting providers. You can buy it separately as-needed and it’s shared in a pool across all your services. We actually started the service after I (Paige) found it annoying that on another provider I was having to upgrade my whole plan (RAM, Database etc) just because I’d run out of media storage. We’re also planning to add that flexibility to database storage as well in the next year.
