Ehhh? Got a promotion putting me over basically everyone else who got hired in the last 6ish months but I’ve realized I fucking hate basically everyone I work with. I’m cordial with everyone at work and they seem to like me fine but I’m also not out at work and I know a lot of them dont exactly like trans people to put it mildly. I’m trying to hit manager then dip or maybe get my own store since honestly the pay is alright and it’s not actually hard work IMO. To be clear I’m working a corporate job I’m not suggesting I have the capital to franchise a store lol.

Icky. Looking for a new job. Being harassed by a bully underlying who has created a hostile work environment because I hold her to her assigned tasks. The hours are really good though. So I wish it hadn’t come to this, especially around this time of year. I’m tired.

Oof, I know the feeling of a deteriorating work environment. I am in a company that was eventually taken over by another. My department’s collaborative culture was replaced by a competitive one due to org changes, and a lot of the interesting people started leaving.

I’m thinking of seeking an internal transfer via colleagues who have previously switched from my team. Maybe you could explore that option as well if you have the network?

For what I do I would have to go elsewhere unfortunately. I have two interviews Monday. I just hate change. I’ll miss those interesting people as well. Oh well.

The upper endoscopy went well although I hate how propofol just erases time.

Made turkey so there’s a lot of leftover turkey. I’ve been having sandwiches.

Mother’s cat is doing well. She was also given turkey and she cleaned the plate, a relief! It’s also why she’s here. She doesn’t eat as much at home, but will eat here. Cause no stinky boy cats here that steal her food. Only a stinky kitten.

Who can’t get to her so the kitten gets whiny and cries at the gate. But the kitten is doing well. She’s still skittish but she’s been enjoying yelling at squirrels.

Horrid. My line manager is out, and now I need to deal with a bunch of problems that suddenly popped up at work. I’ve been grappling with sciatica and some dry eyes, and my Dad is hospitalised for some liquid around his heart. Luckily the operation seems successful, but now we await the study to find out why that happened in the first place - suspicious thyroid nodules were detected, but they shouldn’t be related.

I miss running. I need the endorphins to be well throughout the day. I haven’t ran in 3 weeks because of the sciatica issue.

Sorry you’re going through all that. Would a low impact exercise provide the same rush? I know runners high is a thing. I’m not sure swimming would do it for you. Rock climbing is a little more intense… but you can take it at your own pace and it feels really good (while you’re doing it). So if you get halfway and your leg starts doin a jig you can drop off, etc, without losing your work out.

Thanks - helps to know that someone is listening out there.

Unfortunately I have not found anything that can give me the same runner’s high that is easy to fit into a morning session before my work - other potential activities require some special equipment or otherwise that is not located close to my house.
