They must have to do so much sweeping.

It didn’t seem like much of a problem at the hostel. There weren’t really strong winds which for sure helps.

Huh, I was just reading the Wikipedia page for this! I was suddenly wondering of oases were a real thing 😅

Yeah, I wouldn’t drink from it though. It looked pretty scuzzy.

They’re very real! Their hit song “Wonderwall” is a classic since its release.

It’s very cool. They do dune buggy and sandboarding there, it’s a great time.

The actual lake is very pretty.

    Great picture!

Where’s even weirder is the single dune in the middle of a green landscape 😳

Yeah. I climbed one of the dunes beside the oasis and could see it. Basically sitting in the the middle of the town of Ica.

Yes. Huacachina is actually just on the edge of the dune desert.

Did you do sand buggy or sand surfing?

Yeah. It was pretty cool. The sand surfing was a lot like tobaganning.

I want to know how they built that water tank on the sand dune. Is there bedrock not too far down?

Good question. Those sand dunes are higher than they look. Some are 500 meters high.
