    It’s not so much about how it is today than us seeing where it’s likely to go in the future. I’ve spent 20 years with Ubuntu and every new install that I do which I wouldn’t want to reinstall is now Debian. If Canonical does an IPO as they’re planning to, opt-in telemetry would become opt-out. Along with all sorts of other things that can yield higher profit.
