    I was in these in primary school in the 70’s. In Queensland, they call them ‘demountables’. Like an oven, because the teachers, in their infinite wisdom, decided that opening the louvers on either side to let the breeze through would only let the heat in. There were literally puddles on desks, as sweat dripped off us. Meanwhile, those smug teachers would sit behind their big desk, luxuriating in the technological superiority of a desk fan. The bastards.
