      So there are a few possible reasons I can see with this

      1. The fear is truly unfounded
      2. The fear is founded, but .cafe being so small, he doesn’t care to lend a hand and can use it for examples should this fear conversation become more serious. Dessalines is a lot of things, but he’s not dumb
      3. The fear is founded, but because it’s an issue that could potentially affect any instance large or small they decided to deal with it. Vs say if .world decided to defederate and then ran into an issue that mostly just affected them because of their size, maybe they’ll “give the run around” instead or ignore the issue until it affects an instance they care about

      What truly matters is that major instances have this fear to begin with, not whether or not it will happen.

        Then why don’t those admins switch to Piefed if that’s a fear? It’s been around for a while now, and it works as well as Lemmy.

        While we are talking, why haven’t you switched to a Piefed account yourself?

          Probably because it’s not easy to transfer entire instances? I don’t know dude.

            I’ve moved plenty of communities to PieFed instances. It gives Piefed more visibility, and can help people know about it. Same reason I use Piefed for my main account.

            You do you, but criticizing the Lemmy devs while keeping your Lemmy account and your communities on Lemmy seems contradictory

                Notice how he is willing to read my comments but not respond to the points made. It’s like Blaze is right and Goat is mad at him for it.

                And I don’t “downvote everything” you can see when I upvote people here too. But again, that disproves things so I’m sure that’s not gonna be noticed.

                There’s a differencd between voting in comments made in the community you’re in and then clicking on someone profile and downvoting everything they said because they tilted you wrongly.

                I don’t do that. This community does. This is just what Hexbear does and feigns of ignorance of. While they also ignore genocides China does.

          He wants use their products while saying they evil. He’s too lazy to move, just only enough time to use old out of context screenshots to laugh at lonely people.
