This is the first King Gizz album that did absolutely nothing for me musically. Complete dud on my ears. Chalk it up to “They’re allowed some stinkers” / “Not everyone will like everything”. But Jason Galea sure came out swinging on the cover art.

Some music nerdery regarding the album cover: The band’s prior album, “Flight B741,” is very loosely about a group of farm animals (pigs and rats among them) escaping on an airplane.

This album starts out with a plane crash on a mysterious island, but you can also see some pigs, rats, and various other critters running around. There’s also an orchestra. Their covers tend to be kind of on the nose, but they’re fun and all the weird lore is hilarious.

Man that’s great I had no idea. Knew about the last album cover being a plane but didn’t know they were related at all lol!

The whole Gizzverse has tonnes of reoccurring characters, it’s funny once you realise how much thought went into their nonsensical story.

This album is pretty good. Not my favourite by a long shot but after their last few albums it’s certainly a return to form for me.
