A community to post who you want to disengage, not interact, block, filter, and killfile for. This is a temporary measure until proper engagement features get implemented on threadiverse software.
If you are used to BlueSky feeds, you should be familiar with the intent of this community.
Posts should general be personal, but communication with sympathetic peers can be allowed. Respect boundaries and our Disengagement Rule.
I just wish there was a way to stop the accounts that show up, post a bunch of stuff but never comment, then delete the account within hours, and repeat ad nauseam
Piefed has a built in anti-delete function. A new account that spams posts, then deletes will get their posts automatically removed.
Yet another reason I should probably switch to Piefed
I’m not familiar with bluesky feeds. Can someone explain in more detail the purpose of this community? It’s just curiosity, so don’t feel obligated.
Same here
Blue Sky lets you kind of subscribe to a block list. Someone can make a list of accounts and post it publicly and you can block that entire list. There are lists for all sorts of topics, like spammers or neo- Nazis or trolls or AI generated profiles.
I’m a huge Bluesky user and I don’t understand this post at all. Bluesky has a strong Block feature, which I use liberally to avoid trolls and people I don’t want to engage with, but I don’t know what’s being referenced here
I think they are saying “Bluesky has great blocking features but most of the fediverse doesn’t. This is a place for you to post about people to ban no matter where you find them so that others can take action as well. Maybe one day the fediverse will have tools to make this unnecessary.”
