    On an unrelated note, why is that intersection so big? A roundabout would be smaller.

    When a government owned and operated service becomes a privately owned and operated service they need to lose and renegotiate all the concessions and free stuff they get, before anyone can claim it’s a financial gain to the government.

    Are there any success stories of a privatization of a government monopoly in the long term? One time cash injection to the government followed by decades of bailouts, failing infrastructure, and reduction of services.

    but ask em to run gas to a new construction house and you’re gonna get 25k invoice because digging a tunnel is hard for them or something…
