Having just finished Reaper Man from the Discworld series, now I’m imagining that due to fauxpseudo removing so many Heathcliffs, the universe now has an unsustainable surplus of free Heathcliffs and is randomly inserting them through history to try an rebalance itself!
One doesn’t simply remove Heathcliff without having places/things needing said civil service. 🤌🏼
