I don’t read r/conservative much but what I’ve seen is they keep banning actual conservatives because they correctly call out what Trump is doing on things where it’s not about left and right but right and wrong.
Some people are saying that it could be coincidental. OP asks why would the two accounts who post so regularly just happen to both stop at the same time on that day.
Maybe that wasn’t the best word but if someone is MAGA they’re in general not very principled because they just accept whatever Trump does even when it goes against what past prominent conservatives did or said.
For example conservatives at-least said for a long time they were strong supporters of free speech but as soon as Trump started attacking free speech a lot of them fell in line. But for example maybe some on r/conservative would say I thought we supported free speech and then the posts would get deleted leaving only those in the MAGA cult left.
Basically the likes of George Will, Liz Cheney, and other NeverTrump republicans.
They’ve been driven from any influence within the GOP, but any outsider would call them conservative.

There’s no such thing as a “principled” conservative. Conservativism is the idea that nothing should change, except the things that the conservative thinks need to change. It is, without exception, based on the self-interest of the conservative determining their own positions. It’s narcissism dressed in stoic nationalism wielding ignorance and fueled by anger.
That’s not what conservatism is. Obviously, it’s a relative term, but it still describes a concrete ideology in each society it’s in. By your logic progressives want to literally have every thing to progress, but that’s clearly not what the ideology behind it stands for.
Bullshit. Progressivism is based on the principles of freedom, justice, equality, and empathy. A progressive believes in their principles even when they run counter to their own self interest. A conservative, invariably, will simply choose principles that are aligned with their own self interest. Twas always thus, and forever shall be.

I didn’t miss shit. Your point is wrong. There is no underlying conservative ideology. It does not exist. Each iteration of conservatives makes up their own values and then acts like those are immovable facts. It’s like drawing a circle around wherever you happen to be standing and then declaring everything within it the Kingdom of Divine Righteous People. There are no examples of conservatives who have not done this. That’s not ideology, that’s narcissism.
