I don’t read r/conservative much but what I’ve seen is they keep banning actual conservatives because they correctly call out what Trump is doing on things where it’s not about left and right but right and wrong.

Some people are saying that it could be coincidental. OP asks why would the two accounts who post so regularly just happen to both stop at the same time on that day.

There’s all sorts of conservative “adjacents” and factions, like various sects of libertarians, finance-oriented fiscal conservatives, hawks with a more oldschool view of foreign policy, anti-corporate small business owners, farmers, some hackers, small town preachers, “Hank Hill” suburban moderates, all sorts of folks.

From my perspective in Texas, it* used* to be quite diverse. Then all of a sudden, Trump blocked out the sun, megachurches took over, and social media/Fox News really bombarded otherwise divided factions (including my family) with a lot of unified propaganda.

Don’t get me wrong; I have seen some shit you wouldn’t believe down here, and heard plenty of talk radio that makes my skin crawl. MAGA was here before Trump claimed it. But “conservative” definitely used to be a much broader term than MAGA.

…but clearly these groups are hardly represented anymore.

If OP’s post is true, Russia is very much interested in fostering “MAGA style” Republican unity, so naturally they’re going to encourage this consolidation and crowd out the factions on Reddit.
