The source I provided categorizes them based on why they are vacant. Consider that people owning homes they don’t live in is part of the problem with distribution of housing. Especially when we are talking about large real estate corporations that buy up large amounts of land. I don’t care if somebody has a vacation home, I do think it’s a problem for companies like greystar to exist. The system we use to distribute housing is failing our population.
