So when I talk about using a Facebook model (which has already been trained) on my own pc (which I already own).
Where’s tha profit exactly?
If I’m confused about how egalitarian my hot take is - where is the money?
You’ve agreed that the only people making money in this tech are the hardware manufacturers . So - are you opposed to the creation of computer hardware? Or just tech that could be used in ai?
You said that you’re opposed to people profiting off the hard work of others - which I agree with. And would be commensurate with a stance opposing capitalism, and a stance against the creation of of hardware for profit. So am I understanding you correctly? Are you opposed to the production of computer hardware for profit?
If I’m not understanding this correctly then your opposition doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. You’re talking about the dangers of people being replaced by this tech while I’m discussing altering a movie that’s already been made, for free, with software that developers have been paid (in some cases) to create but original ip owners have not, that is distributed for free, to create something that would be distributed for free.
Who’s getting replaced here? Who’s making money off the backs of others except hardware manufacturers?
That Facebook model was already trained on stolen data, and you are contradicting yourself by saying that no one is making a profit then saying who is making a profit. You’re also ignoring investors and everyone else looped in on this, and ignoring what I said about cutting jobs to make money.
While trying to justify using someone else’s work, specifically Henson, Tolkien, Peter Jackson and all the other people who’s names are in the credits.
Oh okay.
