House of Lords back social media ban for children in the UK

There have been calls for an Australia-style ban in the UK and the Prime Minister hasn't ruled out banning British under-16-year-olds from social media, saying "all options are on the table".

The UK government, MPs, organisations and public figures are discussing whether there should be stronger rules about children’s access to social media - including an Australia-style ban for under-16s.

      Kids growing up being able to see porn on demand is also a horrible idea. Arguably a more horrible idea.

      The onus is on us to provide a solution to that if we want to remove ID checks from websites that serve adult material. Which currently is porn but could be easily expanded to social media.
