As for what you do…yeah, you’re knuckle deep and perhaps one of the rare exceptions. Even civilians in those roles are kinda trapped. I’ve been close enough to people in those kinds of positions to understand that your hands are tied. Your chance to do something positive will come, though you already are.

The same will apply to a few crucial people; they won’t be able to move.
