GOG sent an email the other day warning the game was on discount and after taking another look at hardware the requirements it felt like a good benchmark for the technology of the time.
It ran fine for me on a Ryzen 4700u mobile APU without issue, no stability issues that I noticed and reasonable performance. The hardware requirements recommend a GTX 460, so pretty much anything reasonably competent from the last decade should run it well, no?
It’s an excellent game, one of the best of it’s kind and a real treat to play, enjoy.
